Following her third event at the Beijing Olympics, Mikaela Shiffrin saw her boyfriend, Norwegian racer Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, in the athletes’ lounge.
She took hold of the back of his white coat and the power couple of Alpine skiing walked down the snowy route hand in hand, at one point even touching gloves.

Kilde was prepared to compete in a slalom run as part of the Alpine combined at these Winter Games, and Shiffrin offered him advice in a sport that is her speciality.
They’re both at the top of their game in the same sport, and they support and encourage one other.
They support one another by going to races. They share advice with one another. This year, Valentine’s Day is on a Monday, right in the middle of the Olympic Games.
We can share our joys and sorrows, our successes and failures, and everything in between, since we are in this together. That’s why we’re here, Kilde added. You may tell your partner anything you want because “that’s why you have a relationship.”
Comparatively, she has three total World Cup victories while he has only one.
The 26-year-old American Shiffrin has already won two Olympic gold medals before even competing in China, and she may compete in as many as three more races the next week, beginning with the downhill on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old Kilde won two medals at the recent competition, including silver in the combined.
Skiing isn’t the Only Olympic Event With Multiple Pairs Competing Together.
American Travis Ganong and Canadian Marie-Michele Gagnon are yet another alpine couple. In the month of September in Zermatt, Switzerland, he popped the question atop a mountain.
Furthermore, Italian skier Luca De Aliprandini is currently dating Swiss medalist Michelle Gisin, who earned bronze in the super-G on Friday and gold in the Alpine combined at the 2018 Pyeongchang Games.
